What People Are Saying About Countries Shaped Like Stars
Calgary Herald: Review: With whimsy and magic, Countries Shaped like Stars lights up the stage
What is a Masked Performance?
Our priority is providing a safe environment for our patrons, staff, volunteers and artists. In an effort to support the comfort levels of all our guests, Lunchbox Theatre has made the decision to offer select Masked Performances this season. This decision was made to address the accommodations requested by some of our patrons, either for preference or personal health reasons. We hope this option gives reassurance of Lunchbox Theatre's support of all our patrons, and ask that all in attendance respect these special accommodations for these performances.

Masks will remain mandatory throughout the lobby and in the Studio Theatre for these performances. At this time, we are requesting that audience members please wear masks of a surgical/procedural quality or better. Masks may be taken off only while actively eating and drinking in the lobby, while you are at a stationary table or chair in the lobby. Food and drink will not be allowed in the theatre for these performances. You may not roam the venue without a mask as you consume food or beverages. Masks will be available at the box office if the patron does not have one of their own.
If an audience member currently has tickets to a masked performance and does not wish to remain masked the entire time, please contact our Ticket Office (403-221-3708) for a ticket exchange for a different performance.
We thank you for continuing to do your part to help keep our community healthy and for supporting the safe continuation of live performances.

What is Relaxed and Audio Described?
We are partnering again with Inside Out Theatre with their Good Host program to provide a Relaxed and Audio Described performance of Countries Shaped Like Stars on Sunday March 26th at 12pm.
A relaxed environment is a great way to introduce kids to theatre without the classic theatre etiquette, allowing for more wiggling and giggling. We suggest this show for 8+ but if you have a child younger than that, then this performance is an option for you and your family.
A Relaxed Performance is intended for those individuals who would like to see theatre but would benefit from a more relaxed environment. Anyone can purchase tickets to attend the relaxed show but the people who have gained the most benefit from relaxed performances in the past include individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Dementia, Sensory Disorders, Young Families with small children and more!
Some changes to the overall environment may include: the house lighting in the theatre will not be lowered to complete darkness while the show is on, patrons may come and go from the theatre during the performance, the number of abrupt shifts in sound, lighting or effects will be limited, and complete silence and stillness in the audience is not expected.
For blind or visually impaired audience members we provide an Audio Described option. During the show an actor describes the visual elements of the performance in real-time through headphones (provided at the theatre).
