WHY donate?

For 50 years, Lunchbox Theatre has played a unique and essential role within the Calgary arts community by creating, producing and disseminating original one-act plays, focusing on new Canadian works.

We want to take our audiences to new places by exploring socially relevant issues in a contemporary context.

The cultural scene in Calgary is growing, and we are happy to contribute by providing a place for people to experience professional live theatre. At Lunchbox, we believe that theatre can energize the community while reinforcing a sense of cultural appreciation. Lunchbox Theatre is a part of Calgary’s past, and with your help, we can continue its success well into the future.

As a not-for-profit theatre, we rely on the generosity of Calgarians to provide sponsorships and private donations. Without this support, we wouldn’t exist.

Please help us keep Canadian Theatre alive. Please consider donating today to guarantee our ability to support young artists and provide extraordinary live theatre to our city! Your gift is greatly appreciated.

Help us celebrate 50 years and help continue telling our stories for the generations to come.

Feel free to donate $50
(or multiples thereof!):

"Being part of the Lunchbox Adopt-an-artist Program is an experience anyone interested in live theatre should consider. It is an excellent way to go behind the scenes and learn how a performance is really a team effort from the actor(s), director, set design, lighting, sound and all the people involved. It is an opportunity to become part of a "theatre family".”
